Our farm is nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. Our mission is to be good stewards of the land and to raise our animals in the most humane and natural way. The small family farm we purchased was a defunct foreclosure and it is our desire to restore this land to a thriving permaculture-based, pasture-centered, diversified livestock farm. Our forty acres are used to raise beef cattle, dairy goats, meat goats, chickens, turkeys, pigs and our jersey milk cows. We strive to raise all our animals on a pasture-based natural diet. Join us as we transition into a thriving sustainable local food-producing family farm.
Know well the condition of your flocks,
And pay attention to your herds;
For riches are not forever,
Nor does a crown endure to all generations.
When the grass disappears, the new growth is seen,
And the herbs of the mountains are gathered in,
The lambs will be for your clothing,
And the goats will bring the price of a field,
And there will be goats’ milk enough for your food,
For the food of your household,
And sustenance for your maidens.
